Wix vs. Squarespace vs. WordPress: Which Should You Build On?

Every platform can produce a good website. The question is which one fits how your business actually operates once the launch confetti settles.

WordPress gives you the most control and the most maintenance. Plugins, updates, hosting and security are yours to manage, or yours to pay someone to manage every month.

Squarespace is beautiful out of the box and constrained by design. If your site fits its model, it's excellent. If you need custom logic or dynamic data, you'll hit a ceiling fast.

Wix sits in between, and it has moved a long way. Wix Studio gives designers real layout control, Velo gives developers real code, and hosting, security and the CDN are handled for you. Non-technical teams can update content without breaking anything.

Our bias is public: we build on Wix, exclusively. Not because it's the only good platform, but because specializing in one platform produces better work than being average on three.
